PatientMD is a patient centered grassroots physician driven organization focused on modernizing our health care delivery system.
Our current health care delivery system is in serious crisis. As a very paper intensive and fragmented industry, we, as physicians, are not able to consistently deliver the highest quality of care to our patients. The lack of all pertinent patient information being available to patients and their doctors at the Point of Care, has led to medical errors, duplication of tests and limited access to Preventative Medicine, Wellness and Disease Management Services based on Evidence Based Medicine.
The result of these factors leads to the rising cost of health care. Information Technology can play a pivotal role in modernizing our health care delivery system. PatientMD is focused on using Information Technology in order to effectively and efficiently provide all pertinent patient information to patients and their doctors at the Point of Care, while preserving the patient’s PRIVACY, TRUST and SECURITY of all their information.
This will be accomplished through the development of a Health Information Exchange and a Health Record Bank.
