Founder and Chief Executive Officer
PatientMD, founded in 1999, has been led by its founder and CEO, Dr. Christ Pavlatos. Dr. Pavlatos is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Internal Medicine. Dr. Pavlatos is currently in private practice as an Orthopedic Surgeon with Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI). Dr. Pavlatos vision since 1999 has been on modernizing our healthcare delivery system through the use of Information Technology while preserving and strengthening the Patient/Doctor relationship. Dr. Pavlatos has served on several boards; currently with TIPAAA, formely with Midwest Orthopedic Network Board, IBJI Board and as CFO of the Lake Forest Managed Care Association.
Dr. Pavlatos graduated Magnum Cum Laude from Loyola University. Attended the University Of Illinois College of Medicine, graduating in the AOA Honor Society. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospitals and Clinics and University of Wisconsin in Madison, respectively. Dr. Pavlatos then pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery with Dr. James R. Andrews in Birmingham Alabama at the American Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Pavlatos received an MBA in 2000 from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business. Recently, Dr. Pavlatos has become a certified professional in Health Information Technology and Electronic Health Records.
Anirban Majumdar
Chief Technology Officer
Anirban Majumdar is the currently serving as the CTO of PatientMD.com. Mr. Majumdar has been involved with PatientMD for the past three years. Mr. Majumdar has extensive experience in Healthcare industry and has developed Web 2.0 OLTP (online transactions processing) solutions as well as sophisticated low latency, high frequency systems. A Silicon Valley veteran, he has managed groups and led projects in companies like Oracle, BEA Systems in the Bay Area. At Oracle, Mr. Majumdar led the HL7 Messaging and Integration team and also holds patents in those areas. In the Chicago land area, he has consulted for organizations such as, University of Chicago Hospitals, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Accelerated Rehab Centers developing Business Intelligence and portal solutions on EMR platforms. Mr. Majumdar shares a unique vision to reduce healthcare costs and thereby improve health care by reducing information asymmetry in the market place using healthcare informatics.
Mr. Majumdar holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute Of Technology, Kharagpur, one of the premier technological institutes in the world and currently pursuing his MBA from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He also has a Masters in Computer Science. Mr. Majumdar brings a unique blend of business and consulting experience in health care to PatientMD.

Chief Financial Officer
Michael Pavlatos is the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of PatientMD. Michael is responsible for the financial reporting and fostering legal and investment decision making.
Michael’s background spans over 30 years in the Accounting and Finance area, including manufacturing, banking and insurance. Having attained his Certified Public Accounting certification, Michael went on and obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from DePaul University, and his Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola University.
